I figured it was time for a real post since my last two were cartoons and "cats in negative". So here is the past 5 days:




These were taken Sunday, while I was grocery shopping...look closely and you can see that there is chocolate around his mouth. While mom is away, Dad and Baby will play (and eat chocolate!).

"Squinty face"!!!

So I got back from getting groceries, and it was bath time...not for Elijah, but for Sadie. Her dermatitis was bad again, and I decided that a bath might be the best remedy. Adam had to watch Elijah so we have no video of the procedure, but here are some pictures from after while she was drying in the bathroom:


Recognize that last picture?? Not her most flattering picture but I think it's funny!

Then there was the ice storm we had. It was terribly icy in the morning hours, but by mid morning, it had turned to snow. We had HUGE snowflakes...they had to have been pushing golf ball size flakes! I took a few pictures of the snow falling...you can sort of see the "hugeness" of the flakes:





The next pictures were taken yesterday. Elijah just started to wear some of his 18 month clothes...they are still huge on him, but we just cuff the pants.


I like the last picture because his legs look SO short!


This is what he does when he's hungry now...he walks over to his chair and starts smacking it. It's pretty cute actually...

Then, after he woke up from his nap, I showed him his Christmas present from Grandma and Grandpa Bright:


We even got the straps situated and at the right height for him:

Oops...I think Sadie thought it was a new chair for her!

Dinner time!
Don't worry...he's not crying. He was making crazy noises by buzzing his lips!




When he eats now, he puts the food in his mouth, and puts his paci back in before he chews...crazy kid!

My day in pictures

This is today:

Our neighbor, , hurt his back , and is off work, and cannot help remove snow. No one else upstairs knows how to make a shovel work. So it is on us this time. No big deal...Adam is working and the baby is sleeping so this was me two hours ago:

I didn't mind at all...it was good exercise. I didn't mind until I looked outside and saw the following in my front yard:

None of the neighborhood children had to go to

today and they all used OUR HILL for their fun.
There was snow all over sidewalks, etc.

It was OK. After all, it was/is still .

So, about 45 minutes ago, I

again...trying to stay ahead of the elements. It is supposed to get cold tonight and turn icy.

I was warming up, and just looked out the window:

We got some cute pictures and videos in the past couple days that I really wanted to share with everyone...


This is Sadie's NEW shirt to keep her from licking her scabs (still gross!). She was NOT really happy about it, as I think her expression makes pretty clear! Poor lady! Eventually, we gave in and took it off for awhile...which is when the fun began:

Later last night, Adam and I were putting plastic on our windows. We were doing Elijah's room and he was hanging out with us and "helping". Elijah likes to "help" me do things in his room by dumping things out, as evidenced in a previous post. So here is Elijah helping us plastic windows:

No, he didn't climb into the basket by himself...Daddy put him there but it was cute nonetheless! And here are some of Daddy with Elijah-in-a-basket:

Later, Elijah found the thermometer on his bookshelf and decided to try to eat the case:
